Betty J Brown obituary

 

Betty J. Brown, 94, of Elkhart, IN passed away the morning of Monday, April 7, 2025 in Bristol, IN.
Betty was born on November 16, 1930 in Mishawaka, IN to the late George Hansen and Eliza Hoover.
On October 13, 1951, Betty was united in marriage to Earl Brown. They spent over 50 wonderful years together before his passing in 2009.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as her sisters, Ruth Ann, Katherine, and Lou.
Betty is survived by her sons, Tony (Deb) Brown and Tim (Karen) Brown; grandchildren, Morgan O’Grady, Mathew Brown, and Sarah Cory; 8 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Grace.
Betty was a wonderful gardener and loved taking care of her plants. She filled many notebooks throughout her life, journaling each and every evening. Above all, Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service for Betty will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, 403 West Franklin Street, Elkhart, IN 46516, with visitation for two hours prior. Following the service, Betty will be laid to rest at Rice Cemetery alongside her beloved husband, Earl.
